Park Road Access
The 92-mile park road winds through tundra, river valleys and mountain passes. Tour buses reach deeper sections where wildlife sightings are most common.
What To Expect
Weather changes quickly. Dress in layers, bring binoculars and plan for a full day when booking a deep-park tour. Denali peak is visible only on clear days.
Main visitor season runs mid-May through mid-September when park road transit operates fully.
The park's Big Five — moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and bears — are seen regularly on bus routes.
Reserve park tours and lodges early for peak summer weeks, especially for cruise-linked travel dates.
